I have been going to a barber shop right next door for several months and have never seen any customers inside Spring Lake Spa. Against my better judgement, I decided to give them a try today. The only employee, a not very friendly elderly lady, had just finished smoking so the entire place smelled like it. She immediately started rattling off pricing followed by "you have to tip". She also mentioned that only cash is accepted, which was not mentioned anywhere inside the place or any advertisements. I happened to have $60 in cash so I asked if I could get a 30 minute session, which would leave $10 for tip. She gave me a snarky look and pointed me to a gas station close by to get more cash because that was not enough tip. Needless to say, I walked out without spending a penny.
